Rumour mills have been strongly indicating that Apple could be launching three new iPhone models later this year. But a new report now adds that the handsets might not be only hardware devices Apple may launch at the event. The company is now being said to introduce two new iPad tablets as well. Both the new tablets could launch under the ‘Pro’ series, say ‘industry source’ to Digitimes.

What’s more is that Apple may not be updating its ‘iPad Mini’ line up this year. The rumours floating on the web however, indicate that the 7.9-inch iPad mini tablet will still be there in the market even after the new 12.9-inch and 11-inch models are out later this year. The new 11-inch iPad Pro is said to replace the 10.5-inch variant. The forthcoming device could have a bigger screen size in the same build.

Also mentioned is that the new iPad Pro models could be sporting USB Type-C ports for faster charging when clubbed with the new 18W power adapter.

In addition to this a bunch of other devices are also expected alongside the two iPad tablets. The report says that Apple could launch an ‘entry-level MacBook series’ and the much-awaited AirPower wireless charger, which was shown last year. Not much is known about the MacBook for now.

A recent report by TrendForce mentioned that at least two of the iPhone handsets could be supporting a stylus, something that has been a patent feature with Samsung Galaxy Note phablets. It has been said that both the rumoured Apple iPhone models with OLED screens will be sporting the Apple Pencil, which currently is limited to Apple iPad models.

In addition to this, TrendForce adds that the OLED iPhone models may come in three storage tiers instead of just two like we saw with the iPhone X. Apart from the 64GB and 256GB variants, the new handsets could come in 512GB version as well.
